Fluent shelving, also known as roller shelving or sliding shelving, is a type of shelving in which fluent strips are fixed at a certain angle and placed on the shelf. The shelf stored in the logistics box slides downwards under the action of gravity, thereby achieving one-way flow and transportation of goods. Paired with electronic tags, it can achieve information management of goods.
The fluent shelf consists of shelf columns, front and rear stop beams, support beams, limit beams, fluent strips (aluminum alloy or sheet metal), fluent strip fasteners, speed reducers, etc. The shelf height and slope can be adjusted. Due to its first in first out characteristic, it is mainly suitable for the transfer of goods between workstations in distribution centers (DC) and factory workshops with picking requirements.
Advantages:
Using roller type aluminum alloy (or sheet metal) fluent strips, utilizing the weight of the goods to achieve first in, first out of the goods;
Easy to access, suitable for both sides of assembly lines, distribution centers, etc;
Suitable for storing large quantities of similar goods, with high space utilization, especially suitable for use in automotive parts factories;
Electronic tags can be equipped to achieve information management of goods.
Structural features:
The fluent bar of the fluent shelf is directly connected to the front and rear crossbeams and the middle support beam, and the crossbeam is directly hung on the column. The installation inclination of the fluent bar depends on the size, weight, and depth of the cargo box, usually taking 5% -9%. The bearing capacity of the fluent bar roller is 6kg/piece. When the cargo is heavy, 3-4 fluent bars can be installed in one raceway. Usually, a support beam is installed every 0.6 meters in the depth direction to increase the stiffness of the flow bar. When the raceway is long, a partition plate can be used to separate the raceway. The pickup end needs to install brake pads to slow down the goods and reduce impact.
