From the supplier
R134a refrigerant is a non-toxic, non-flammable and environmentally friendly refrigerant with a chemical formula of CH2FCF3, a molecular weight of 102.03, a boiling point of -26.26℃, a freezing point of -96.6℃, a critical temperature of 101.1℃, and a critical pressure of 4067kPa
Application areas
R134a is widely used in multiple systems such as automotive air conditioners, refrigerators, central air conditioners, and commercial refrigeration. As an environmentally friendly alternative to R12, it plays an important role in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning. In addition, R134a is also commonly used as aerosol propellants, flame retardants, and foaming agents for products such as medicines, pesticides, cosmetics, and cleaning agents
Environmental characteristics
R134a will not damage the ozone layer. Its ozone depletion potential (ODP) is 0 and its global warming coefficient (GWP) is 1430
2
. Although R134a does not damage the ozone layer, its greenhouse effect potential is relatively high, ranging from about 0.24 to 0.29, so it is controversial in Europe and other places and has been included in the phase-out process.
