Hex nylon lock nut is a nut with a nylon collar inserted to prevent turning. Nuts are widely used with matching bolts to hold two or more parts together. The inner diameter may be slightly smaller than the main diameter of the screw. The nylon insert then locks the nut through the friction screw under the applied radial compression force.
