TRANSMISSIBLE GASTROENTERITIS AND PORCINE EPIDEMIC DIARRHEA VACCINE, INACTIVATED (STRAIN WH-1 + STRAIN AJ1102)
COMPOSITION
The vaccine contains inactivated transmissible gastroenteritis virus of pigs and porcine epidemic diarrhea virus. PROPERTIES
Pink homogeneous suspension. After standing, the upper layer is red clear liquid and the lower layer is light gray precipitate. Shake well to form a homogeneous suspension. INDICATION
It is used to prevent transmissible gastroenteritis of pigs and porcine epidemic diarrhea. It is mainly used for vaccination of sows during pregnancy to enable the piglets born to them to obtain passive immunity; it can also be used for active immunization to protect piglets of different ages. For active immunization, immunity is produced 14 days after vaccination, and the immunity period is 6 months. The immunity period of piglets by passive immunization is from birth to weaning (about 21 days). DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Inject subcutaneously at the posterior nuchal region (the small depression between the tail root and the anus) or intramuscularly at the shoulder region. The injection depth of the vaccine depends on the pig's age: 0.5-4 cm. Piglets aged 3 days are injected at a depth of 0.5 cm. As the piglet grows, the injection depth increases, and for adult pigs, it is 4 cm. When injecting, keep it parallel or slightly inclined to the rectum. Administer 1 ml of the vaccine to sows 20-30 days before farrowing; administer 4 ml to their piglets 7 days after weaning. Inject 1 ml per head for piglets weighing less than 25 kg; 2 ml per head for pigs weighing 25-50 kg; 4 ml per head for adult pigs weighing more than 50 kg. PRECAUTIONS
Store at -8 °C. The valid period is 12 months. SPECIFICATION
