PP-Rct Fitting
PP-RCT plastic, or high-temperature-resistant β-crystalline polypropylene, is an advanced modified polypropylene material. Below is a detailed introduction:
Structural Characteristics
PP-RCT replaces the monoclinic crystalline structure of conventional PP-R with a hexagonal β-crystalline form. In this molecular arrangement, the side-chain quadrilaterals of the polymer have equal edge lengths with 120° angles, enabling random copolymerization to form hexagonal β-crystals. This structural enhancement significantly improves upon the weaknesses of standard PP-R pipes.
Enhanced High-Temperature Resistance
1.Higher melting range and lower melt flow rate (MFR) than PP-R, indicating superior resistance to thermal deformation.
- Maintains stronger pressure-bearing capacity under high temperatures and pressures.
2. Improved Low-Temperature Toughness
- Dramatically increased notch impact strength compared to PP-R.
- Reduced low-temperature brittleness, ensuring reliable performance in cold environments without cracking.
3. Superior Oxidation & Slow Crack Growth Resistance
- Exceptional antioxidant properties and resistance to slow crack growth (SCG).
