From the supplier
Sintered stone, also known as ceramic slab, is an innovative new material made from natural minerals such as silica, inorganic clay, quartz, and feldspar powder. It is manufactured using pressures exceeding 15,000 tons and fired in high-temperature kilns at 1,200°C to 1,500°C. This process creates a material that is large-format, lightweight, ultra-thin, highly durable, scratch-resistant, stain-proof, acid/alkali-resistant, formaldehyde-free, and environmentally friendly
Its outstanding performance makes sintered stone suitable for a wide range of applications:
Building Facades: With A1-class fire resistance and frost resistance (withstanding temperatures as low as -80°C), it is an excellent choice for exterior cladding.
Interior Walls & Floors: Highly wear-resistant (Mohs hardness exceeding 6) and stain-resistant (water absorption rate as low as 0.02%), making it extremely easy to clean.
Kitchen Countertops: High impact resistance (a 6mm thick slab offers strength comparable to 35mm granite) and a food-safe, antibacterial surface.
Bathroom Spaces: Its ultra-low porosity prevents water and stains from penetrating, making it ideal for wet areas.
Furniture & Decoration: It can be drilled, polished, and cut into various shapes, making it versatile for applications such as feature walls, cabinet doors, stair treads, and custom furniture.
Sintered stone comes in a rich variety of colors and textures, including solid colors, stone veining, wood grain, fabric textures, and luxury marble looks, with multiple surface finishes available such as matte, polished, and textured.
Common specifications: Thickness ranges from 3mm to 20mm, with popular sizes including 2400×1200mm, 3200×1600mm, and 3600×1600mm, to suit different project requirements.
