The SiC (silicon carbide) beam is a high-performance precision ceramic transmission component made from high-purity silicon carbide powder through non-pressure/reactive sintering. It possesses comprehensive advantages such as high hardness, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, low expansion, and high thermal conductivity. It is a core component for replacing metal beam in extreme working conditions.
Mohs hardness ≈ 9.5, close to that of diamond. Its wear resistance is far superior to that of stainless steel, significantly extending the service life. It can maintain strength at 1600℃, has low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity, and does not deform or creep even at high temperatures.
