MMO tubular anodes are generally titanium tubes coated with an electrocatalytic ölm of noble metal oxides. The mixed metal oxide ölm is a crystalline, electrically conductive coating that activates and enables the titanium substrate to function as an anode. Our MMO coating consists of Iridium-Tantalum oxides (IrO2/Ta2O5) or Iridium-Ruthenium oxides (IrO2/RuO2) and it has been proven to increase the anode design life. MMO coatings are not affected by the generation of chlorine. Our high performance MMO tubular anode is extremely durable and can be used in severe conditions, including high acidity and in the presence of chlorine or oxygen. They are widely used for cathodic protection of metal structures in soil, mud, seawater, brackish water, fresh water, concrete, etc. For an improved current output, coke breeze is commonly used in anode beds, or the anodes can be prepackaged in canisters containing carbonaceous backöll, ready for direct installation. MMO tubular anode is highly versatile, and is also widely used as an anti-fouling electrode in sewage water treatment. Moreover, MMO tubular anodes can be connected together in strings for the cathodic protection of internal storage tank walls
