The excellent performance of low melting point polyester short fibers is based on the good compatibility between the low melting point polyester in the outer layer and the conventional polyester in the core layer. The fibers can ensure the melting of the outer layer while maintaining the physical structure of the core layer under low heating temperature conditions. After cooling, they provide good adhesion without any chemical binder, and have high bonding strength, low melting point bonding temperature, fast bonding, and peel strength. They not only maintain the characteristics of the main fiber, but also obtain a macroscopic structure with high porosity and resilience. Low melting point polyester short fibers eliminate the volatile organic compound pollution caused by the use of traditional chemical adhesives in downstream applications, reduce the generation and emission of volatile organic compounds, benefit human health, improve atmospheric environmental quality, and enhance the level of green manufacturing.
