Foot valves are valves that open and close valves to produce action to block back flow. Automatic valves, also known as reverse check valve, one-way valve, return valve or isolation valve. Water enters from the inlet (bottom side) and flows from the outlet (top side).The valve is opened when the inlet pressure is greater than the combined weight of the disc and its flow resistance. Conversely, the valve closes when the water backflows. Foot valves are often used as bottom valves in pumping units to prevent backflow of water.
