The flake ice machine is an advanced refrigeration unit that forms thin, dry ice flakes directly on the inner wall of a vertical evaporator.
The produced ice is 1.5–2.2 mm thick, dry, soft, and subcooled to around -5°C, making it suitable for direct contact with food and seafood.
Compared with block or cube ice, flake ice features fast ice production, high heat transfer efficiency, convenient storage, and wide applicability.
Its large surface area ensures rapid cooling and uniform temperature control, making it ideal for food processing, fishery, concrete cooling, and chemical industries.
Applications
1. Marine and Fishery Cooling
Flake ice rapidly covers the surface of seafood, reducing temperature quickly and maintaining product freshness.
It is widely used in fishing vessels, seafood processing plants, and cold storage facilities.
2. Food and Meat Processing
Used for ingredient cooling, mixing, blending, and preservation during food production.
