What are the causes of water leakage in the color coated corrugated sheet and how to repair the leakage?

The main reason for the water leakage of the color coated corrugated sheet:

• 1. The color coated corrugated sheet is deformed due to carelessness during production, transportation and construction.
• 2. The effect of external forces such as wind and rain causes the color coated corrugated sheet to vibrate for a long time, which makes the nail holes and the iron joints wear for a long time, and rust when it encounters rain.
• 3. Why does the self-tapping nail have a rubber pad and water leaks?

First: Excessive force of the self-tapping nail during construction has damaged the rubber pad.

Second: The rubber mat ages quickly and loses its waterproof function soon.

• 4. The main reasons for the deformation of the color coated corrugated sheet:

First: the roof span is large, and over time it will cause accumulation of water in the middle, the gravity in the middle part will increase, and the more rain, the more serious the deformation will be, and the roof may even collapse.

Second: Roofs with mineral wool, mineral wool has the effect of water absorption. In rainy days, all the rainwater leaking from the roof gathers in the mineral wool, which increases its weight.

Third: When the roof is hot in the summer season, there will be a sudden heavy rain, causing the temperature of the color coated corrugated sheet to drop sharply, and the color coated corrugated sheet shrinks rapidly, causing it to deform and the nails to loosen.

The flow-ability of the waterproof coating causes uneven coating thickness during construction, and cracks are not easy to be found. Coupled with roof vibration, the elongation of the coating is low and cracks appear. Cutting corners during the construction of waterproof coatings, the coating thickness is too thin, and it will quickly age and crack.

Repairing technology

　　1: Full paving method: Pave the color coated corrugated sheet special waterproof coiled material on all the color steel tile roofs. Should be laid horizontally, the advantage is that it can fully achieve waterproof and anti-corrosion effects on the roof. Especially for nail holes on the roof. Because most of the nail holes only start to seep after three years. Solve the problem once, no more worries again.

　　2: Only do the seam, it is best to do it twice, the bottom one is 33cm, the top one is 50cm wide. The eaves should be wrapped twice.

　　3: Waterproof basic working conditions:

• 1.1. the color coated corrugated sheet surface is free of dust and looseness. Construction can only be done after the loose part has been dealt with.

　　3.2. There should be no water accumulation on the base surface, if necessary, reinforcement treatment must be carried out, and the waterproof layer construction can be carried out only after qualified.

　　3.3. When the gap of the color steel sheet exceeds 03mm, it should be reinforced, and then construction can be carried out.

　　3.4. The yin and yang corners, the pile elevation and the plane’s internal corners, the inner and outer corners of the elevation must be used as additional layers.

　　3.5. In the morning, if there is dew on the color steel tile surface, stop the construction.

　 3.6. The color steel tile for severe winter construction should be brushed with a base treatment agent.

　　4: Working process:

　　4.1. Clean up the base surface: wipe off the dust on the old color steel tile surface with a tarp. If there is rust, remove the rust to make it flat and clean.

　　4.2. Make additional layers: make additional layers at the yin and yang corners, vents, gutters, etc. The additional layer is 15cm-30cm wide and extends along the central axis of the yin and yang corners.

4.3. Large-scale construction:

A. First play the baseline, so that the rolled materials are neat and beautiful.

　　B. Lay the coiled material flat, align the coiled material with the part to be constructed, and roll up the coiled material from both sides.

　　C. Cut the release paper from it, peel off the release paper, and squeeze the coil to make the coil as flat as possible.

　　4.4. Requirements:

　　A. When laying the coiled material, start laying from the direction of the running water slope. The vertical wall is paved from a height to the bottom.
